Hello! I'm a Certified Birth Doula and Birth Doula Trainer with DONA International. I've attended many births and taught hundreds of expectant couples in childbirth classes. I have also trained many, many beautiful woman to be birth doulas. Birth is a beautiful and powerful event in every woman's life, no matter how she chooses to do it. My goal is to support "my moms" in every way I can, even if I wouldn't necessarily make the same choices, because women are smart and intuitive and they know what's best for themselves and their babes. I see so much strength and so many miracles when I attend births. I HAD to start writing them down to share with others! Please enjoy. NOTE: All mothers I write about give their permission. In some cases, names and other identifying factors may be changed at the mom's request, but the stories and events remain the same.

I heard about this concept for the first time last night on the 20/20 special about motherhood. I would love to be part of the audience.
My DH gave me the DVD of this film for Christmas. I LOVED IT!!!! It is by far the best birth film I have seen. I wouldn't mind promoting it and I'm so glad you're trying to get a local screening. A lot of moms would love to see it but are hesitant to pay the money to buy it. (Even though the money is so worth it!)
